Privacy Policy (CortiCoach)

This Privacy Policy explains how CortiCoach (“the App”) collects, uses, and protects information.
1) Who we are
CortiCoach is provided by Aashik Singh (“we”, “us”, “our”). Support: aashiksingh@gmail.com
2) What the app does
CortiCoach helps you understand a stress trend estimate and provides short lessons and habits that may help you feel calmer. The App may optionally read certain Apple Health (HealthKit) metrics to improve its estimates.
3) Data we collect A) Health data (optional)
If you connect Apple Health, we may read limited HealthKit data such as:
Heart rate variability (HRV)
Resting/overnight heart rate
Sleep metrics (where available)
You control these permissions in iOS and can revoke access at any time.
Important: CortiCoach does not write health data back to Apple Health unless you explicitly enable a write feature. If the app does not provide a write feature, it does not write to HealthKit.
B) App activity data (stored on your device)
To make the app work, we store some information locally on your device, such as:
Lesson completions, streak, and XP
Your check-ins (how you felt before/after lessons, if you use them)
App settings (for example: notifications on/off)
The app’s locally calculated scores and timestamps
This information is stored on-device (for example using SwiftData / local storage).
C) Purchases and subscription data
If you purchase a subscription or lifetime access, Apple processes payment. We use RevenueCat to power subscriptions and entitlements (for example, to check whether Pro is active, restore purchases, and show subscription management screens).
RevenueCat may process purchase-related information such as:
Subscription or entitlement status (active/inactive)
Product identifiers
App user identifier used for subscription management
Receipt validation results
We do not receive your full payment details (like your credit card number). Those are handled by Apple.
D) Notifications
If you enable notifications, CortiCoach may schedule local notifications on your device. Local notifications are generated by the app on your phone (not sent from our servers).
4) What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
We do not store your HealthKit data on our servers (local-first design), unless we clearly tell you otherwise in the future and you opt in.
5) How we use information
We use data only to:
Calculate and display your stress trend estimate and related insights
Power lessons, streaks, and progress
Provide app features you request (like notifications)
Manage purchases, subscriptions, and access to Pro features
6) Sharing
We do not share your health or app data with third parties except:
Service providers needed to run purchases/subscriptions, such as RevenueCat and Apple’s in-app purchase system
7) Data retention and deletion
Because CortiCoach is designed to store core data on your device:
Uninstalling the app typically removes local app data from that device.
You can revoke Health permissions anytime in iOS Settings.

8) Your choices and controls
You can:
Turn Apple Health permissions on/off in iOS Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices
Turn notifications on/off in iOS Settings
Manage your subscription via Apple ID settings (see Section 10)
9) Children’s privacy
CortiCoach is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact aashiksingh@gmail.com.
10) Subscription management (Apple)
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. You can cancel in iOS by going to: Settings > Your name > Subscriptions > CortiCoach > Cancel Subscription.
11) Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the “Effective date” and post the updated policy at: https://aashiksingh.github.io/corticoach-legal/privacy.
